Gina Faust: How to Improve Your Child's Literacy Skills

We will discuss how to inspire a love of reading, creating reading habits (strategies to habits), genre studies, writing in our real lives, and finding ways to weave literacy into daily work.

Dr. Eric Sundberg: Understanding the New Social Studies Curriculum

We will discuss the instructional shifts in social studies in light of the New York State Social Studies Framework and how these relate to shifts occurring in other disciplines. Dr. Sundberg will present some new resources that Jericho is using at the elementary and secondary level.


Linda Alesi: Understanding Canvas

Stop by this session to learn about Canvas, Jericho’s new Learning Management System. Computers will be available but you are welcome to bring your own device.

Dr. Elaine Margarita: Learning a New Language at Jericho Schools

This workshop will present information about the latest news in language learning, national standards, and opportunities at Jericho Schools. New staff members in the World Language Department will share strategies and fun activities they use in their classes to make language learning fun.
