The Jericho Middle School sixth grade band recently earned a gold rating at the NYSSMA Major Organizations Festival, which was held at Mineola High School. The band played three selections, Knights of Destiny by Michael Sweeney, Air (For Band) by Frank Erickson, and March Zuma by John O'Reilly. “The students played with a beautiful and balanced sound and exhibited outstanding musicianship overall,” band director Wayne Schuster.
